Gobana sources whole carcass, forequarter/hindquarter, bone-in cuts, boneless cuts and offals for a wide range of products including buffalo, beef, lamb, mutton, pork and poultry products such as chicken, hen and turkey.

Our meats are sourced from Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, India, USA, Canada, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa and Australia according to customer requirements and specifications. These high-quality protein items are Halal slaughtered and processed at modern facilities, which are highly certified and regularly audited.

BEVERAGES: COFFEE, TEA, WATER, JUICE, UHT MILK

Gobana produces coffee from its Ethiopian operations and is an accredited seller of Nyeri County coffee and tea from Kenya. In addition, Gobana also markets a number of beverage related products such as water, juice (canned, powdered), soft drinks and long lasting milk (flavoured and non-flavoured) from suppliers worldwide.

Gobana provides roasters and consumers a great selection of green coffee beans from Ethiopia tailored to their specific roasting needs. Gobana understands that almost all of the flavour potential exists at the moment of picking the ripe red cherries. Each step after that provides the opportunity to maintain that flavour and Gobana's commitment to its roasters is to maintain high quality standards throughout the process to ultimately deliver a great cup of coffee. Control of the farm, harvesting, processing and transportation allows Gobana to tailor coffee to specification, maintain quality and deliver green coffee beans in a timely and cost effective manner.

Gobana has established a presence in farming operations in the Oromia Regional State and its offerings include specialty Sidamo, Harar, Limu and Bale coffees. The characteristics of our coffee beans, namely their organic nature, distinct tastes and vibrant flavours allow us to deliver quality beans suited to different roasting preferences. In addition, Gobana also markets the entire range of conventional coffees that Ethiopia is renowned for the world over such as Yirgacheffe, Sidamo, Limu, Lekempte, Jimma, Harar.

LIVESTOCK: SHEEP, GOATS, CATTLE

Gobana rears goats, sheep and cattle on more than 5 million square meters of fertile agricultural land in East Africa. Gobana’s production activities are geared towards rearing meat producing livestock through its intensified ranching and breeding program with the goal of supplying highly hygienic meat for local and export markets.

Gobana exports live sheep, goats and cattle from its East Africa operations (Ethiopia, Somalia, Somaliland, Kenya) and can tailor its livestock to meet the specifications (size, age, breed, quality) of its customers. Gobana’s livestock are 100% organic and grass-fed. Utmost care is taken to ensure all livestock are thoroughly vaccinated to comply with stringent health policies and guidelines of importing countries.

Gobana delivers its live animals to destinations mainly in the Middle East. Borne out of necessity to consolidate and internalize the high cost of transportation, Gobana ventured into the trucking market to take more control of the supply chain with a view to reduce the final cost of its livestock so that it could pass the savings to its customers.

Gobana is acutely aware of the role agriculture plays to East Africans; it is by far the sector that most of the population draws a living from and the company ethos of respect and fairness to its stakeholders across the supply chain is reflected by the fact that a percentage of Gobana's profits go back to helping the various communities it operates in by providing vaccination for medical diseases, distributing clean drinking water, investing in schools and also providing other basic essentials for various communities.

FISH AND SEAFOOD: MACKEREL, SHRIMP, SARDINES, TUNA

Gobana offers a wide range of frozen fish and seafood products from South America, Ireland, United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, China, and the North Atlantic depending on seasonal supplies and customer requirements. Our knowledge of the above markets along with our strategic sourcing partners allows us to source variety of products at cost effective prices.

Gobana’s main fish products include mackerel, herring, pangasius, salmon, shrimp, dried fish, cod, red snapper, white and yellow croaker.

Gobana also provides a range of canned products such as sardines, tuna in various sauce flavors and packaging sizes.

DRY FOOD: RICE, SUGAR, OILS, CONDIMENTS, CONFECTIONARY

Gobana sources a wide range of dry food products for both wholesale and retail consumption. Our product portfolio consists of bulk commodities (rice, sugar, salt, flour, oils, oilseeds, cereals, grains, pulses) and retail items such as condiments (ketchup, mayonnaise, vinegar), canned foods (veggies, chickpeas, tomatoes, soup) and confectionary products (biscuits, crackers, cookies candies, chocolates, healthy snacks). Dry food products are sourced from all over the world where Gobana has long standing relationships with various producers and manufacturers along with sole territory distribution rights for a number of products.

Gobana works with in partnership with producers, processors, packers and exporters to offer a range of commodities, oils, cereals and grains. We supply our products to different sectors of the food industry, from large processors, bakeries and supermarket packers, to smaller distributors and retailers. Gobana procures pulses and oilseeds mainly from its East African operations through both farm holders and third party marketers.
